Sources and notes
Page continuity: this page is published to the same address every day and updated with that day's bulletin; the TR/ENG/JP language panes and the design are preserved. The previous edition was dated 8 October 2026 (Ducati Desmo450 MX 2027 prices, the BMW F 450 RR teaser, the KTM 690 Rally road test and Indian September retail registrations). Items from that edition are recorded in the Drive archive and are therefore not repeated here. Section notes are no longer printed inside the sections but collected in this area; the calendar in the header reaches back to 29 September 2026.
Section note — New Models: the other new-model developments that appeared today had already been published and were not repeated: the BMW F 450 RR's 15 October reveal and its 420 cc / 48 hp / 43 Nm figures were in yesterday's edition (today's additions — a KYB inverted fork, a radial Brembo caliper on a 310 mm disc and an expected price above 7,000 EUR — are the source's own inference rather than official data, and were not counted as a notable update); the Ducati Desmo450 MX and MX Factory 2027 prices and technical data were also published yesterday. Royal Enfield's Himalayan 750 being seen uncamouflaged in four colourways in Uttarakhand amounts to new spy photos and was not used.
Section note — Tests & Reviews: both tests published in the last 48 hours are topics already on file: the ADV Pulse road test of the KTM 690 Rally appeared in yesterday's edition, while the Spanish launch test of the Triumph Tracker 400 is another publisher's version of the same topic (398 cc, 41 hp, 38 Nm, 173 kg, 5,995 USD) and was dropped as a duplicate. The newest content in Moto.it's test section is dated 3 October.
Section note — Gear & Technology: the SENA Apex/Apex Plus intercoms, the Metzeler Karoo 4 Street long-term test and the T.ur Garda Hydroscud jacket published yesterday were not repeated. Galfer's ISDE rider support was not used because it is a sponsorship announcement with no product data or prices, and Visordown's Clarke CAMAX24 workshop fan review because it is sponsored content and not motorcycle gear.
Section note — Honda: Honda's lead in September retail registrations in India with 469,789 units was published yesterday and not repeated. The newest content on American Honda's press release page is dated 6 October (the 2027 NC750X DCT and Gold Wing, plus TRX250X/TRX90X US prices — also on file); there is no new Honda powersports release, recall or production/sales figure dated 8 or 9 October. On global.honda the newest production/sales publication is the August 2026 report dated 29 September.
Section note — Türkiye: no new development with a verifiable date emerged on the Turkish market, pricing, special consumption tax or licensing between 3 and 9 October; the searches returned almost nothing but date traps. Honda Türkiye's October 2026 price list was published on 7 October and not repeated. TurkStat's September 2026 road motor vehicles bulletin is expected in mid-October.
Section note — Regulation & Emissions (EU): the Oberhof rumble-strip debate and the B62 Applauskurve motorcycle ban published yesterday were not repeated, and the enforcement against unlocked e-bikes in Parma was also in yesterday's edition. The source side remains troubled: the ACEM newsroom page returned 1,792 characters of plain text, all of it 2018 content (newest item 15 November 2018), and acem.eu/robots.txt is not served; the newest directly reachable ACEM publication is the Q1 2026 registration release dated 21 April 2026 (visible dateline "Brussels (Belgium) | 21 April 2026", no meta tag). FEMA carries no date on any headline and the robots.txt refusal continues, so no FEMA headline whose date could not be verified was used — FEMA's "anti-tampering" exhaust piece is likewise undated, and because its content cites the UNECE GRBP decision of September 2024 and the March 2025 WP.29 sessions it appears to be outside 2026, but that is inference, not verification. The motorcycles.news law-and-politics hub is an evergreen page bylined 13 March 2026; because og:updated_time tracks the editing date, only article:published_time and the visible byline were used.
Section note — Industry & Market: BSB's switch to a Mectronik torque-based electronic platform for 2027 was left out of scope, as on 7 October, for having no direct effect on a production model or a manufacturer's strategy (on file as "wsbk-2027-2030-teknik-regulasyon" plus the 7 October source note). The 20-21 November auction of more than 70 of Billy Joel's motorcycles was caught by the celebrity filter, and KTM's UK PowerDeals campaign, Peter Hickman's GreyhoundLSR land-speed-record project and the Millennium Expo ticket announcement in Rome by the professional-value filter. Kawasaki's Kaleido humanoid robot plan was not repeated because it overlaps the robotics-strategy item on file. Pedro Acosta's objection to the 2027 MotoGP format and the e-scooter assault in Rome are out of scope.

Scanning notes: the WebFetch tool was again not directly available in this session; all page fetches went through web-fetch subagents and no PROVENANCE error occurred. The archive was read without problems: the ten newest day files in the Drive folder were listed; the cumulative list in the 10-08 file and the 10-07, 10-06, 10-05 and 10-04 files were saved to disk and parsed with python, and 10-03 was read in full — yielding 676 topic keys and 58 unique URLs, with the duplicate check completed in full against that list. Visordown's RSS was the most productive source today (lastBuildDate 9 October 11:11 BST, 15 items across 8-9 October), but its /reviews index is stale: the newest review is dated 30 September and the page's article:modified_time tag reads 24 October 2025. Moto.it's /accessori grid was cached — the 9 October Nolan X-804 ST item was found only in the "Ultime da Accessori" rail in article sidebars, and its date was verified on the article page. Every item's date was verified by at least two independent pieces of evidence (RSS pubDate, article:published_time, visible byline, URL date segment).
Date traps caught today: all four items returned by the Turkish market searches proved, on verification, to be old: Hürriyet's "İki tekerde pazar 1 milyon adede koşuyor" is from 29 November 2023 (meta datePublished 2023-11-29 and the visible byline "Oluşturulma Tarihi: Kasım 29, 2023"); Gazete Oksijen's "Türkiye motosiklet satışında Avrupa'yı geride bıraktı" from 24 January 2024 (visible dateline 24.01.2024 and image path /2024/01/23/); Anadolu Agency's "Motosiklet satışları yeni rekora koşuyor" from 22 March 2024 (visible byline and CDN path 2024/03/22); and Ekonomim's column "Motosiklet satışları 1 milyon adede koşuyor, eylül ayına kadar sıra var" from 12 May 2023 (meta datePublished 2023-05-12 and DC.Date 12-05-2023). Dünya's "sevenfold growth in 25 years" analysis is dated 20 July 2026, outside the 24-48 hour window. A new trap mechanic: the line "10 Ekim 2026, Cumartesi" at the very top of the Gazete Oksijen page is the site's live masthead date widget, not the article's date; the footer copyright year reads 2026 on AA and Hürriyet too, and on Ekonomim the side column lists other pieces by the same author dated 9 October 2026. The "eylul" (September) string in the Ekonomim URL likewise refers to 2023 order backlogs, not the month of publication. arabalar.com.tr could not be read because of robots.txt, so its "1 million barrier passed" item was not used.
Units and exchange rates: every technical figure in this bulletin has been converted to metric — power in hp, torque in Nm, weight in kg, dimensions in mm, volume in litres/cc, speed in km/h. Only tyre and wheel diameters and screen sizes are left in inches, as is industry standard. A programmatic regex check was run: no lb, lb-ft, kW, PS, bhp, feet, mile, mph, gallon, mpg or psi remains in the body. Values converted: Zero SR/F 83 kW → 111 hp and 140 lb-ft → 190 Nm; BMW R12 G/S Sumo 109 bhp → 109 hp; in the Bridgestone BT46 test, 500 miles → 805 km, 12,489 miles → 20,095 km, 230 miles → 370 km, 4.2 US gallons → 15.9 litres, 56 mpg → 4.2 L/100 km and the 53-56 mpg band → 4.2-4.4 L/100 km. Battery capacity (17.3 kWh) and energy figures were already metric and kept as such. Prices are given in the source's own currency; the only amount not in TL, USD or EUR is the 425 pounds sterling UK price of the Ruroc AT4.0 Hellside. Rates as of 9 October 2026 (open.er-api.com, time_last_update_utc: Fri, 09 Oct 2026 00:02:31 +0000): 1 GBP = 1.1798 EUR = 1.3219 USD. Amount converted: 425 pounds sterling → ≈500 EUR / ≈560 USD. One exception: the phrase "Bridgestone Battlax BT46 Tire Test: First 500 Miles" in the source line is the original article's own title and is quoted verbatim as the source's name; as a technical figure in the bulletin, 805 km is used throughout.
